Happy Mother's Day!
On my mother! One thing for sure, no matter how tall I grow, I know I'll always be my Momma's baby.
Of all her talents and features and accomplishments, one technique of hers stands out. Her "mothering" capabilities. She's the closest thing to a universal mother I know...full of compassion and caring and unconditional love...for each and every soul...
And this is what I've learned from her:- To love the entire world of children unconditionally. And by children, I mean old and young, whether you are one week old or 99 years old. All are my children. All were somebody's baby at some point. All need love and sunshine to thrive and grow... so this is my mission, to be like the sun and touch all that comes in my path with love and motherly sunshine.
Thanks, Mom. Here is to you. On your next birth, may other souls be lucky enough to be born in your heart and home.
Heart of my Universe
Amy I. Ramdass
A fragrant flower as soft as down
She is a breath of fresh air in my town
The keeper of stars for my nights
She is my sun burning all day bright
My seat is a pedestal high above
Created by her unconditional love
On shopping sprees and scraped knees
Through thick or thin, she is there for me
She loves all children equally
She fills our hearts with excess glee
Daily her love continues to grow
She is the most unselfish person I know
Gardening is one of her passions
She treats nature with soft compassion
I feel like a princess in her presence
She gives my world its luminescence
Heart of my universe; she is so divine
No mother is greater than mine
Scour the earth, sail the seven seas
There is no other with her expertise

Help

wow, so much amazing poetry going around gaia today! thank you for this!
Thanks, sweet Nicole. Too true…and no wonder…tis a poetic day…the day that motherhood was finally acknowledged around the world…
mothers are the most powerful influence in anyone's life! such responsibility! such power! i am glad that your mother did well by you, amy. one day I too shall experience unconditional love. I m sure it exists!
it does, dear mouse! and yes, my lovely goddess, it is a very poetic day indeed
Thanks Nicole. You're absolutely wonderful. Hope you know that.
Hey there Mouse. Sure glad to see you here. And oh my…I so agree with u. Mothers are the most powerful influence in anyone's life. !!!
Mothers old and new tend to condition their children's mind so very thoroughly…sometimes harldy leaving room for the growth of new things.. .(for our own survival perhaps…they are afraid weeds will take over :( Oh, the error of our ways…when we don't allow weeds to grow, weeds not only take over, they become immortal…:( And many times when we treat plants we don't like as weeds, we discover that this very same weed is the most valuable plant ever. Sigh.
Well…enough of my ramble, shamble…may unconditional love unscramble…
Hmm….yes….it seems without unselfish love, selfish love cannot exist…so I agree with our Nicole…she's a great example of unconditional love, imho…
So here is to you, Mouse. May you have plenty of unconditional love.
Love you both.
Amy :-)
I would like to blog about unconditional AND highly conditional love, but it will take tones that are critical of both women and men. Afraid, as these were the writings that gaia team used to explain away the real reasons I was deleted.
amy, you are delightful and sweet, and too kind! but i thank you from my heart
Mouse, I don't think you will get deleted again, just let them try it while I am around to defend you! LOL. blog away, my dear, blog your heart out.
Love your writing on motherly love and you definitely revealed the power of unconditional love. It is wonderful that your children can experience that in you and I am sure they are happy to have a cool mom that is not a victim of super-ego.
Such a delight to see you guys here again.
Really now, Mouse. That deletion biz. Bet someone mistook you for a weed…and *pluck* but you grew back…stronger…and what a lovely bloom you are to some of us. Especially me :-)) Seriously.
And as for unconditional love, if I had a case that it doesn't exist, I'd arrest it after I read Nicole's comment about her standing by you if anyone tries to delete you.
So dear Mouse, I would love to hear your take on “highly conditional love” as well. It's a very interesting topic for me. So blog away anytime. I promise I won't be offended especially if you wrap it all in some bitter-sweet humor… Great style. Love it.
Thanks, Jag. That's such a nice thing to say!
And hey!! think I've a super-ego. I mean it's as large as the moon so that's super right? Lol. Thanks again.
Amy :-)
aw Amy, thanks!
I agree about Mouse's wonderful bitter-sweet humour.
See how you are loved and appreciated here, Mouse?
love you all!
A big sunny smile for you, Nicole. Lol. Yep. wonderful and bitter-sweet
indeed. And oh my…oh yes…Mouse's very much appreciated here. Come to
think of it, I'd be stomping blue if someone uproots him. He's my
gaia buddy.. and you too….so .may both you and him grow beside me throughout my gaia's voyage…
love always…
:-))
